For our entire history, Atlanta Roller Derby has operated without a permanent home of our own, moving between rented spaces for practices and competing to book a venue for our games. ARD is now raising the capital needed to complete the purchase of a permanent facility, one that will finally house all of our programming under one roof: practices and games for both our adult and junior leagues, and the learning programs that train new skaters and officials at every level.

The venue is Golden Glide, a rink in southwest DeKalb County that has anchored Atlanta's skating community for decades. As a bonus of securing our own home, this purchase also protects Golden Glide itself, a historic and iconic gathering place for families, community members, and skaters of every background, from the kind of redevelopment that has closed rinks like it across the country.

This venture combines securing a permanent home for our league with making sure the doors of this important community hub stay open to the public.
